.htm or .html
Whether you are aware of it or not, you can save your web pages as pagename.htm or pagename.html, they will both work in any browser [Define].
So is there a difference?
None that really matters, however we would recommend using one and sticking with it (we use .htm). Otherwise you run the risk of linking to a web page that doesn’t exist. For example if you name your page “page.htm” and make a link from another web page to “page.html”, the user clicking on the link will get a “Page not found message”, because that page doesn’t exist. The browser is looking for “page.htm”.
